April 23-29, 2018

The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, Sydney, Australia, until April 28

Hugo Weaving returns to Sydney Theatre Company and the Roslyn Packer Theatre in this powerhouse role. Written in 1941 as a cautionary satire on the rise of Hitler, Bertolt Brecht’s play is both thrillingly sharp and riotously funny. It has the wit, murder and musicality of a gangster movie while asking a very political question – how do we let a man like that come to power?

KOOZA by Cirque du Soleil, Hong Kong, until June 3

KOOZA pays homage to its roots by combining thrilling, heart-stopping acrobatic performances with the traditional art of clowning. Presented in the signature blue and yellow Big Top tent, the awe-inspiring performance will be hitting the Central Harbourfront Event Space.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, New York, USA, now playing

The hotly anticipated West End production is now playing at The Lyric Theatre on Broadway. The critically acclaimed play is the most-awarded production in the history of Britain’s prestigious Olivier Awards. Based on an original new story, the play by Jack Thorne, in two parts, is the eighth in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage.
