Everyone’s Fine With Virginia Woolf, New York, USA, until June 30
This new play, written for Elevator Repair Services, is directed by John Collins, and plays at the Abrons Art Centre. In this parody of Edward Albee’s classic WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?, Kate Scelsa reinvents the power dynamics of the original play’s not-so-happy couple. In the end, no one will be left unscathed by the ferocity of Martha’s revenge on an unsuspecting patriarchy.
Cabarets de Cirque – Le Monastère, Montreal, Canada, June 15 – 16
Le Monastère invites you to their nighttime cabarets of circus with aerialists, acrobats, jugglers, contortionists, and other exceptional talents which will take your breath away. Cabaret has myriad possibilities, and these shows are earthy, sensual, charming and full of wonder.
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, New Jersey, USA, until July 1
This Tony-winning Broadway farce is light, fast-paced, witty, irreverent and one of the funniest musicals ever written. This production plays as part of the Princeton Festival at the Matthews Acting Studio, combining the infectious energy of classic vaudeville with a plot full of comic twists, plus a lot of wonderful music: “something appealing, something appalling, something for everyone, a comedy tonight!”
