June 4 – 10, 2018

Othello, New York, USA, until June 24

Every summer, the Public Theater produces a beloved NYC tradition and one of the best free things to do in NYC: Shakespeare in the Park, presented at the open-air Delacorte Theater in Central Park. There’s nothing like hearing the Bard’s immortal words performed outside in New York, with a backdrop of natural splendor and the Belvedere Castle looming in the background like the world’s most impressive set piece. This classic drama about a noble Black Venetian general whose marriage is sabotaged by theater’s most infamous villain, Iago, remains Shakespeare’s most urgent and relevant tragedy today.

Bring It On, Melbourne, Australia, June 5 – 23

You know the movie, now see the classic story on stage at the Athenaeum Theatre! With a colourful assortment of characters, an exciting fresh sound and explosive choreography with aerial stunts, this hilarious, universal story is sure to be everything that you hoped for and nothing like you expected.

The One: Grand Show, Berlin, Germany, until July 5

The Friedrichstrasse Palast’s latest spectacle, The One, is an orgy of colour and style with costumes by French fashion icon Jean-Paul Gaultier. Full of glitz and glamour, this is more than just a revue: it’s a bow to a lost tradition, an exorcism of two dictatorships that stifled diversity and a steam-cleaning of the creative dust that had settled in recent decades.
