Igniting connections across the globe.

Cirqueling The World with Stacey Magiera: Ultimate Tour Packing List

By Ashley Sutherland-Winch

Stacey Magiera has worked with Cirque du Soleil for over nine years and performed in two residential productions in Las Vegas and currently travels around the world with TORUK- The First Flight Arena Tour. TORUK is an arena tour production that travels around the world at a rapid rate. Since the world premiere in 2015, TORUK has performed in over 71 cities. The production is a prequel to the Avatar movie with a strong storyline told through acrobatics, exciting projections and life size puppets to make the audience feel like they’re part of the world of Pandora.

Since she began touring with TORUK, Stacey has made tour break travel a master of art. As the production moves from city to city, Stacey travels to exotic destinations in her quest to circle the globe. “In 2017, I was in summer weather almost the entire year and I started carrying a 40-liter backpack year-round. With time, I found it useful to also carry a smaller backpack with all my electronics and valuables with a lock on the zipper. This way on plane rides I can keep all my valuables with me and check the bigger backpack. Now, I can go on short getaways with only my small backpack and leave my larger pack in storage at my hotel,” she explained. “This year, our show will go to some winter cities so I’ve upgraded to a 70-liter backpack that has everything I’ll need for every season,” she continued.

So, what does Stacey Magiera carry with her as she tours and travels?

Hot Tips:

Outside the United States, it is pretty easy to find inexpensive laundering services so I can clean my clothes quickly. There are also washing machines and dryers at our show that we can use.

Lightweight and colorful scarves can mix up your outfits so that it looks like your wardrobe options are greater than they actually are in your backpack.

Where will Stacey travel this year? We will be excited to watch her adventures unfold!
