In Process: A Poem

in process

I am not finished yet
I am a work in progress
In process
Incomplete and at the same time whole
I know my story even though it’s untold
It’s familiar with a well-known structure
But right now, it isn’t the full tale
The story is still growing
I’m still growing

Pat McDonald

Wherein a former bank president finds herself running a performing arts company one month before the pandemic hits. What does she learn from the experience and how does she put the organization on the path to sustainability?
Pat McDonald retired from a distinguished 35-year career in financial services and banking in Dayton, Ohio. Boduberu – The Heart of Traditional Maldivian Music and Dance

Boduberu – The Heart of Traditional Maldivian Music and Dance

Boduberu. For me, the background music to my island life. The rhythms grew dear to my heart and accompanied me through the years during which I lived and worked on Maldivian islands. The bodu beru is a Maldivian drum, made of wood from coconut tree trunk, and often grouped in trios. The instrument is used to accompany the traditional dance of the same name, the Boduberu.
