Show Reel Of The Week: Reza Farokhian
Give us your elevator pitch of who you are, what you do and what your skill set is.
I am a 29 year old Aerobic Gymnast and also a personal trainer. I am recognized in Aerobics for my advanced techniques, contributions and advanced way of performing elements. I am among the top individuals within Aerobics Gymnastics and have been selected as a fixed member to represent my country around the world since 2009.
In 2012, I was awarded second place in the 3rd Asian Championships held in Indonesia. It was the first official medal at the Asian Championships in Iran’s history. The Asian Championships are a world renowned competition and the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) organizes each of the gymnastics disciplines competitions. The Federation sets the rules, known as the Code of Points, that regulate how gymnasts’ performances are evaluated. Back in the previous cycle in 2013, I submitted a package containing 17 offered elements and after analyzing by FIG TC (International Gymnastics Federation Technical Committee), two elements were approved and added to the Code of Points.
I have placed within the top 8 in the following world competitions; 6th at the Universiade Games in China, 7th at the World Championships in Bulgaria, 5th at the World Cup held in Japan and 6th at the World Cup in Italy. I have also been awarded world rankings within the top 4 following the achieved scores from internationally recognized competitions in Italy and Japan.
I am currently working on some new elements to submit in FIG in 2019.
