Lights,Camera, Action! Break a Leg! Are you Ready for Your Close Up?

These are not unfamiliar phrases for the bustling and busy performer Nadine Hart. Nadine hails from the UK, where she has performed, written, and directed her original work “Kelly and Whitney’s Bucket“ at Brighton Fringe Festival, one of the largest theatre festivals in the UK.

Furthermore, she stunned UK audiences when she performed in the title role of Anne in the production of “Anne Frank”. This role led to her development of her accents expertise: a skill that has always set her apart from other performers.

Having mastered 11 accents, it’s no wonder that Nadine was sought after major brands, such as Air Ideal (100 year old company with annual revenue of 20 million) to serve as the lead voice over artist for their commercials.

Not only is this an incredible feat, but Nadine has consistently demonstrated throughout her career in both the US and the UK that she is a creative force.
A creative and expert storyteller, Nadine is an artist and activist and is the lead artist in the podcast “Disability Decoded“, in which she will talk about and with artists, about their conditions, their art, performances and the struggles faced. Nadine created and founded this endeavor because of the need to shed light on the difficulties of being a professional performer. It is this artistic activism that has positioned her as a coveted leader in her field. “Let’s find ways to create equitable spaces for ALL artists with guests and light hearted laughs.” Nadine says.

She currently serves as the lead performer and essential member of the theatre company 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company (Artistic director Ronnie Marmo), to play a new piece written by Katie Jay Hopkins, called “A Moment of Gravity”. Nadine will be playing Piper the strong willed, an impulsive pilot of a spacecraft that is waylaid from its usual course by an unknown emergency.

But her work doesn’t stop in theatre.Nadine performed the lead role in “King Jeongjo“, a festival darling which was selected and screened at the Concourse Film Festival, dedicated to presenting the best independent films in the country in the heart of New York City. Her films have also been screamed at the nationally acclaimed and recognized 48-hour Film Festival. Nadine’s film techniques absolutely draw inspiration from her accent and theatre work, providing her with a creative flexibility that is unrivaled.

Nadine’s new kind of performance style weaves in surrealism, multidimensionalism, and most importantly high art and classic techniques. The surrealism comes from her chameleon like ability to transform her characters and personas just with the sound of her voice. This rare ability to use voval tonality, timbre, depth, and sound to create an accent and therefore modify an entire character is absolutely fascinating and quite rare to witness. The multidimensionalism of her work is apparent in the diversity of the projects that Nadine leads. She’s the lead in theatre, commercial, and film projects and she is hungry for more!
